Interstellar News: Normally, Christmas Eve is spent with my Mother’s side of the family and we eat ALL THE FISH (and some other stuff too). In 2019, we had everyone still living under one roof and it was spectacular. My three aunts, one uncle, six first cousins, me, five spouses, nine kiddos between the ages of 13 and 1, and at least three fur children (including Professor Zoom). We were missing my Grandparents, my Mom, and two of my Uncles quite a bit… but we ate all kinds of fish and other yummy foods in their honor.

This year, unfortunately, we couldn’t be together at all. My oldest aunt and oldest cousin caught Covid and we had decided way before then we were going to use an abundance of caution and be isolated this year. Instead the husband person spent most of the day in the attic and our bathroom installing a heat lamp for me, our bathroom is way too cold in the winter, and I spent that time watching Star Trek. We then made a wonderful homemade mac and cheese, added some ham, and made a side salad so we could Zoom and exchange presents with some dear friends. They loved their gifts and we loved ours, even though one is lost in the mail and has likely perished by now. Exhausted, we watched some TV and decided to go to bed early when a headache presented itself. Next year, I hope it’s a better one.
TA Out.
