Interstellar News: In America, it’s Election Day.
I’ve spent the last hour staring at the North Carolina map, super confused at how we have a widely popular Democratic Governor but it looks like President, Senate, and a few other races in the state are suuuuuuuuuper close and leaning Republican. Especially when some of those Republicans have done our state dirty in the last few years. Sigh.
When Amendment One was being discussed before the freedom to marry became a federal right, the map looked like this:

You’ll notice that everywhere that voted against declaring marriage was between one man and one woman had a prominent university in it. That seems to be what is happening again. Where I live, in Wake County, it’s very blue. Surrounding us, it’s very red. I can’t find it now, but someone remade the map into the zombie apocalypse and the red areas were where all the survivors were, I still laugh about that sometimes.
Anyway, my brain just can’t write about the two episodes I watched tonight, so you’ll have to wait until my brain decides it wants to focus on science fiction rather than pandemic horror. As always: stay safe, wash your hands, wear a mask, and be kind.
TA Out!
